Tonbridge Angels are delighted to confirm the signing of 22-year-old right winger Bobby Unwin, who joins the club from Lewes FC.
Bobby, who has been with us throughout pre-season, is a product of Southend United’s Academy and gained senior experience with Hendon and Bishops Stortford before departing Roots Hall in 2023.
He went on to feature for Concord Rangers in the National League South and had a brief stint with Cheshunt, before joining Lewes in early 2024 where he impressed in the Isthmian Premier Division. He also featured for Grays Athletic and Basildon United during the 2024/25 season.
Now, Bobby brings his pace, creativity and attacking flair to the Yeomans Community Stadium as he begins the next chapter of his career with the Angels.
Craig welcomed Bobby, a player that can offer width on either flank: “He’s direct, positive in one v. one situations, and brings real energy in wide areas. He’s shown great character in his journey so far, and we’re excited to give him a platform to express himself at Tonbridge.”
Bobby looked forward to the new season: “I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get the season started. I’m excited to be working with Craig again this season because I enjoy the type of football him and the staff want to play and the high standards they set and it’s always a great environment to be part of. I’m ready to work hard, really enjoy my football and score goals.”
Welcome to the Angels, Bobby
