Tonbridge Angels are pleased to confirm the signing of Martell Taylor-Crossdale, a 25-year-old forward who last season was with then National League South Welling United for whom he made 15 appearances. Martell has made a number of appearances for the Angels during this pre-season.
Martell spent his formative youth years at Chelsea, representing England at every year group from Under-16 through to Under-20, before departing Stamford Bridge for neighbours Fulham in 2019.
After leaving the Fulham Academy, he moved into non-league with Weymouth, Gloucester City and Hendon before enjoying a productive period with Metropolitan Police in 2023. This led to a move to Haverfordwest County for the 2023/24 Welsh Premier League season that also included the club’s involvement in the UEFA Conference League. He scored nine times in 29 appearances which attracted the attention of Welling.
Craig Nelson welcomed Martell to the Yeomans Community Stadium: “Martell has really impressed during pre-season with his attitude, work rate and eye for goal. He’s got great pedigree and brings a sharpness to our attacking options. We’re delighted to have him on board and looking forward to seeing him make an impact.”
